Like Ray at the Eye on Dare blog, I found the actual investigative report to be somewhat anti-climatic, although I cannot agree entirely with EOD's summation.
There are a number of talking points that need to be looked at more closely to get to the true facts. These would be as follows: the budget increase, motivation, and voter fraud (?).
I will continue along this course with more posts to follow.
David, the Channel 3 reporter should have known better than to imply that the fire department was the cause of all of Southern Shore' tax increase. That alone, was enough to give him a failing grade on his report. IMO.

Of course they did. That's politics..
Do I support the fire department and it leadership? Heck, No! Town councils' actions? Heck, No!
Death threats?..the reporter should have crapped or got off the pot on that one..
Let's hope TV 3 drops this matter..JMO.
Don Smith continues to be a sad case in Southern Shores. He is and always has been a child in a man's frame. Sad but true. Not only that, he has quit anything that he has not gotten his own way with. Get over it Don, you were flushed big time in the last election! GONE and hopefully forgotten- - -FOREVER!
